We are a family run “dropzone” that specializes in taking individuals, couples and small groups for first jump Tandem skydives, and offer private skydiving lessons. We have owned and operated Alberta Skydivers Ltd since 2005, in addition to a centre in BC for 25 years. Our commitment is to provide first-class customer service while following the rules and regulations of the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association and Transport Canada.  Good to know: Beiseker Airport is situated 3,000 ft. ASL (above sea level) and we skydive from 13,000 ft. ASL/10,000 feet AGL (above ground level) We operate 3 jump-planes which seat 4 – 6 passengers; they are not equipped with supplemental oxygen required for flights above 13,000’ ASL. You will freefall approximately 1 mile/1.6km (from exit at 13,000 ft ASL) until the main parachute is activated. Your parachute flight back to the landing area will be about 5 minutes. Skydiving is a weather-dependant activity. Always call the office before coming to skydive - the weather can be horrible in Calgary and permit skydiving in Beiseker (and vice versa). Tandem skydiving is done one-on-one with your instructor. If you come with a friend you may go on the same plane, but do not exit or freefall together. If you are coming with a friend and it is important you share the same flight, please let us know when you book. Bring your friends and family to watch. We have a great viewing area and encourage you to bring your cheering section to share your skydive adventure! Sorry, no personal camera equipment or cel phones allowed on a skydive. Basic Requirements: Please let us know if you are over 104 kg/230lbs. If you are shorter than 170cm tall you must weigh less than 86 kg/190lbs. Weight restrictions are required to ensure the equipment is operated within manufacturers recommendations. If you are concerned about your ability to skydive we are happy to give you a private consult to check student-harness fit, prior to finalizing a reservation. 18 years old is the minimum age to sign the waiver of liability and make the skydive. We do not take parental consent. If you are concerned about a pre-existing medical condition please talk to your doctor before making your reservation. Yes, you can skydive with your glasses on. We have goggles that fit over glasses, although bringing a sport strap to secure your glasses is recommended. Believe it or not, we recommend you eat before you come to skydive. Adrenalin rush requires energy to process; if you haven’t eaten you may get light-headed or nauseous after the parachute opens.  The use of recreational drugs and alcohol is strictly prohibited while skydiving. Your deposit will not be refunded if you arrive impaired. Skydiving while hung-over is strongly discouraged – being air-sick ruins an otherwise amazing experience.   Once you have made the decision to take skydiving off your bucket list and made your reservation with Alberta Skydivers Ltd - What’s next? Tandem skydiving involves a 2 -3 hour time commitment When you make your reservation with Alberta Skydivers Ltd. we are booking the time you are to arrive and sign-in. On the day of your reservation, call us before leaving home to check the weather. Have something to eat, and come with comfortable sport clothing and running shoes. When you arrive you will be given a Waiver of Liability to read thoroughly and sign. Once the waiver is done, you watch a short training video which provides an overview of what you will need to do during your tandem skydive. An instructor then demonstrates the gear you each will wear, and how it operates. Next, you physically rehearse the key skills you need to perform during the skydive with the instructor. Jumpsuit and helmet selection is next. Alberta Skydivers Ltd. require students wear helmets because it is recommended by the Tandem gear manufacturer and the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association (following the Basic Safety Rules and Recommendations). Jumpsuits provide protection for your street clothes, but are not mandatory. Your instructor will custom fit the tandem harness to your body, complete his gear check and put on his equipment - and you are ready to go to the plane. Once seated in the plane you will have about 25 minutes of flight time to reach 10,000 feet. Remember to look out the window - Beiseker Airport is on the edge of the Badlands and the scenery can be spectacular, including a view of the mountains when the weather permits. Half way up your instructor will go over the steps to the climb-out and exit, and hook-up your harness to his equipment. You will be very securely attached by 4 connectors; 1 at each shoulder and hip. At jump altitude the pilot flys over the airport and opens the door; it will be windy and noisy. Remember to breathe as the instructor leans out to check all is clear, and you start your climb-out together. Once you exit and leave the plane, you will freefall approximately 40 seconds before the instructor opens the main parachute. For approximately 5 minutes you will fly the parachute with your instructor. Remember to listen to your instructor when he is preparing to land. It is important to keep your feet and knees up and out of his way so he lands smoothly. If you have purchased the video of your skydive it will be ready about ½ an hour after you land.
Skydiving is for everyone with a sense of ADVENTURE!
